When you visit this little Foochow town called Sibu in the middle part of Sarawak, one shouldn't miss the opportunity to try some authentic Foochow food. Zao Cai Hong Gan (糟菜粉干)is among the must-try dish. This place offer one of the best! Made in green fermented in red wine, paired with rice vermicelli, meat balls, fish fillet, sounds delicious? Their home-made "sio-bee" (烧卖) is another must-try food. However, to enjoy the food there, you better prepare yourself for self-service.
First time here, you need to get your order from aunty, no staff serve for you. Get your food, chopstick and spoon, and if you want to add xiumai, just take it from the steamer, and tell aunty how many pcs you took. Aunty make my ice milk tea, very kaw. Not like other place, like drink plain water. I order Kampua, very delicious, my favorite part is aunty use homemade fry onion, very delicious. Will visit again.
Nice environment & self pick noodle bowl from counter. But the noodle soup is quite salty. Is that the original taste?
